Digital Marketing Skills Bootcamps

WYK’s Digital Marketing Skills Bootcamps are funded by the Greater London Authority and DfE to support jobseekers and career changers to access roles in the digital marketing industry.

Learn highly in-demand skills in areas such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads, while building knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals.

Run campaigns for a real business - making sure you stand out to employers.

  • 10 weeks, full time (10am-4pm, Mon-Fri)

  • Hybrid format: remote with some in-person days

  • Taught by industry practitioners

(Must be able to commute to Manchester, Birmingham or Nottingham for in person sessions)

ELIGIBILITY

As our programmes are funded, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Aged between 19 - 40 (must have turned 19 before 31st August 2024)

  • Living in the Greater London Authority area OR the Midlands OR Manchester (able to travel to Manchester, Birmingham or Nottingham for in person days)

  • Right to work in the UK (full time)

  • Lived in the UK for at least the last 3 years

  • Not in full time work or full time education

  • Have not previously started a Skills Bootcamp funded by the DfE since April 2024

Digital Marketing Fundamentals

Learn the core areas of digital marketing, with practical industry-based exercises throughout. We’ll cover strategy, social media, search, display, analytics and ecommerce, as well as business essentials.

Specialist Track

Dive deeper into one of our specialisms: Paid Search (Google Ads), Paid Social (Facebook and Instagram Ads) or Programmatic. Taught by an industry expert, you’ll get hands-on experience in the platform to stand out to employers.

Real Client Experience

In teams, we’ll provide a budget to run campaigns for a real business. You’ll develop a plan based on the business objectives, build and run campaigns, and present back to the client. All while getting valuable teamwork experience!

Excel

Every digital marketer needs Excel skills! Our Excel training will ensure you have the spreadsheet essentials needed in the industry, as well as the confidence to use Excel for real-world tasks.

Industry Masterclasses

We’ll bring in industry experts to run masterclasses on key digital topics. Previous masterclasses have included Data Visualisation, Email Marketing and SEO.

Employability Support

We’ll make sure you complete the programme ready to apply for roles, with support on CVs, understanding industry roles and interview prep.

  • As this is a funded programme, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • WYK is a full-time programme, running 10am-4pm Monday-Friday. This time consists of a mix of taught sessions, group work and self-study.

    The Skills Bootcamps programmes run for 10 weeks.

  • No! WYK is designed to take you from complete beginner level to ready to work in digital. You do not need any experience in digital marketing, but during application we look for enthusiasm and curiosity!

    However, you will need basic digital literacy skills. If you’re not sure if this programme is for you, complete the application and you’ll be invited to a taster session to learn more.

  • WYK is a full-time programme, so it will not fit around full time work. Many learners work part-time around the programme (evenings or weekends).

    If your employer wishes to send you on the programme, they can part-fund your place. Please note this on your application form and we will provide further details.

  • Apply via the form here. We will review your application and eligibility and send you a pre-interview task.

    Once you have completed the task we’ll then invite you to an informal interview (online) with a member of the WYK team. Don’t worry, we’re just looking for an interest in digital!

    If successful, you’ll be invited to enrol in the programme.

  • This programme is designed to help you get a job in digital marketing. If you are looking to start your own business or promote an existing business, this won’t be the right fit for you. Take a look at The Prince’s Trust enterprise programmes instead.
